She was a sight from a far like the light from a star
Put the pep in my step, the Breath of Life in my heart
I began to smile despite the harsh
Tragedies and casulties of fright in the dark
Senses heightened in part to the lightning she sparked
Caused a fire to rage, my desires uncaged
All the words that went unheard, she inspired the page
I was too tired to change, crying with age
"Romance, the satire is strange"
But it was only calm words she spoke to me
Every night holdin' me was poetry
Hopefully she could clear my veins of cold debris
If love is the lock, Romance holds the key
But I guess I was getting too bold to see
That Romance wasn't faithful
I had become Romance's faith fool
And so I'm a tell it straight too
What don't make you will always break you
