So what happened? Romance lost the spark
Heaven became Hell, hot and dark
Left me crossed and marked
Like Cain to travel earth's terrain with a rotten heart
So terrible but every parable has a moral
Not so fancy, it took Romance see to understand me being mortal
and that heartache and pain are normal
Romance was an experience and I know we've all met her
Although some have faired better
Because they wouldn't dare let her
Gain the upper hand unless you understand
Everything that she was taught to say
Either that or walk away
Trust me, it's not the way
For your heart's decay, she is smart I say
As for me, I was shocked the day
I saw the headline, at a glance it said
"The world mourns, Romance is dead"
