With This Life

With these hands I create a masterpiece
And shield myself until the disasters cease
Fold them together in prayer and ask for peace
Then clench them together and prepare to smash the beasts

With these legs I stroll towards my destiny
To strengthen my muscles and bring out the best in me
Running with determination, not fear, from my enemies
Because I know the Lord walks next to me

With these eyes I collect the data
Scanning the beauty of the Land of the Creator
Such scenes are euphoric and so dreams are no greater
Taking all the sights into my mind and save it for later

With this voice I harmonize, praise and speak
Whispering silent invocations before I lay to sleep
Asking for strength when I'm way too weak
Eliminate the pain and maintain for days and weeks

With this mind I plan for what might come
Standing and basking in the bright sun
Thinking how can we choose a religion and dispute about a right one
When we'll all die as our final night's done

So with this life I refuse to waste a second
And when my time comes, so be it, I'll face the weapon
Go as noble as I can and embrace the Essence
As I return to the Eternal Grace of Heaven
