Yahoo - Four Stars
Remember:
1) In most cases, only Individuals and non-profit organizations can be considered for free web site use. 2) If you should use free websites, you can still purchase our graphics or use your own, provided that you pay your free website provider a fee for the use of them. Most free website providers charge an annual fee for use of personal graphics or use of others. 3) Most free website providers provide the service as long as you advertise for them. Their banner will be next to your Welcome/or Non-Profit Logo. (The Proper Document has banners however, we choose our banner service provider as long as they allow us to place the banners where we choose. Which is not always at the top of our page). 4) Some of these free website providers ask you personal information. Some may even give the information away to those bothersome callers. That's a chance you take. 5) You don't get much of a choice in customizing your site. 6) Some providers offer the website free for a certain amount of days then you are asked to pay.
By no means are we stating that the free web page providers should not be used. We think they are great, as long as you read the fine print.
Microsoft Front Page 4.0
When you find that your background is not showing up on your web page, here are a few things you can do.
If you are choosing a photo or a color for your background and neither are showing up when you log on to your site, consider these tips: When using Microsoft Front Page, this can be corrected by going into File, Properties and selecting the Background Tab. From there moving down to Background Colors, (first option), a white background can be selected or any color you choose. If you are choosing a background picture, select background picture, properties, then select whether the picture has a .jpg ending or .gif ending.
