Say! That lends itself to rhymin'!
Snoring, sawing, hemming, hawing,
Lonely Simon sleeps 'til morning.
I bet he grumbles in his sleep,
"My office, now," while counting sheep.
A big strong man, so full of pride,
says silly things when he's closed his eyes.
Joan's old dress size, recipes for cake,
He'd never remember these, were he awake.
Stories of Darryl, his favorite poems,
dotted with sleepy sighs and moans.
Blair and Jim can't take him backpacking
because of incessant nighttime yakking.
The funny thing--he doesn't know!
Simon's is a secret show.
So when the awful night is through,
he wakes, says, "I slept great! Did you?"
And THAT is why I use a moniker instead of my real name.
