ANGER

The wind of anger blows out the lam of intelligence

“Anyone can be angry --- that is easy.  But to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, in the right way --- that is not easy.”

-         Aristotle

“When angry, count to ten before you speak; if very angry, a hundred.”

-         Thomas Jefferson

“Let not the sun go down upon your wrath.”

-         Ephesians 4:26

Fading Angel

On her way to… away,

So young; journeying to God.

A short life… What fun she once had.

So robust! So carefree!

So careless!

Never knowing the outcome would waste her body.

Fading, shallow,

Cheeks now shallow.

Eyes hazy, but mind so strong.

Saying to all… Let me go!

Selecting parents for her child,

Planning that final site to rest…

Where tranquility surpasses fatigue and pain.

Let me go… slowly… away!

Fading angel… Journeying to peace!

Fairy Realm

The Fairy forest glimmered

Beneath an Ivory moon

The silver grasses shimmered

Against a fairy tune.

The crystal branches slept,

And dreaming through the dew fall

The cold white blossoms wept.

Gone

Between the tear that falls…

And the smile that brightens,

There is a domain

I call my own.

A realm of fantasy and of freedom…

Where I can soar on a whisper,

And glide into my dreams, revealed.

In this most special of places…

People with the real and fanciful,

I find myself scaled and horned,

Dancing upon the wind, winged.

Stopping only long enough

To talk to some of its denizens.

What stories they spin and weave

As they try to guide my flight.

Leading me unto paths untried

With visions never before seen.

Opening my multifaceted eyes

To the fivers of emotions flowing.

Until, at last, I land gasping

Trying to catch my breath

Curling my body tightly around,

Until my snout reaches my tail.

And there we sit, my tail and I

The circle joined… and complete.

Hear the Thoughts

Oh give me the ear of a fairy

To hear the trees growing,

The greeting ants and earwings,

To harken the lowing

Of tiny green cattle in grass woods

Where wee winds are blowing.

Oh give me the ears of a giant

To hear the sun thunder

Along space, to list the moon coming,

The earth winging under:

Ah! We hear not and see not, but

Thinking, fills life up with wonder.

I Hate to Cry

My face is flush,

My eyes are red,

My heart is broken,

Pain flows through my head.

Everywhere you look,

There is a poem about pain.

Emotionally hurting,

Ceasing the rain.

I tried to go on,

But I can’t anymore.

KNOCK, KNOCK,

I’m staying away from that door.

I look so helpless.

I feel determined.

I let this happen once,

And promised it wouldn’t again.

I pace back and forth.

I wonder why.

I feel terrible,

But I hate to cry.

My Dream

Dragons Fire

Fairies Dust

Hopes and dreams turn to rust

Golden masks

And silver rings

This is my Fairy Land for all to see

Leprechauns run around and around

At the end of a rainbow cloud

Unicorns prance around in the grass

To show that everything does last

Munchkins with hoods in this little place

Turn everything from bad to good

Than give grace

Blue moon

Bright sun

The Song Bird sings

This is my Fairy Land where I will be.

Mystery

Mystery is like the Unicorn,

There but never seen.

It shifts around of fairy wings,

But never can be caught.

It lives in a world of dreams and myths

Where few are able to enter,

But when its sought, its never found

And when its not, its all around.

Night Magic

Whispering winds, so cool on my face…

The sun fades, so full of somber grace.

The burning horizon precedes a lovely night,

Moon so quiet, ready to creep up so bright.

Blue-black night, cool darkness, starlight,

A comfort in feeling, that things are alright.

That serenity of dear dark night, how nice,

I had better look real hard, maybe twice.

Wouldn’t want to miss some celestial move,

Or, watch some comet, slip from its groove.

Such a wondrous night, for all to see.

Is anyone else watching, as close as me?

Have I really sat here all this time…

Looking to see another cosmic rhyme?

Here it comes!  That bright sunny orb,

But, ill wait for nightfall, and really absorb.

Suicide is Painless

Reality slips away, long it wont stay,

Tablets, wines, scalpel, will not help at all,

You feel no pain, they’ve labeled you insane,

With malice towards none, you point the gun,

Suicide is painless, no one will harass,

Your soul… you fall,

Inevitable is death, lay your body to rest,

No fears, no tears,

Life was painful, it was sinful,

Vast emptiness, suicide is painless,

Scared you hide, behind suicide,

So will end soon, this miracle boon,

Loud sound, fired round,

Flash flood, of coward blood,

You in silent grave, one we couldn’t save,

How could you be forgetful,

To the rest of us your suicide was painful.

The Unicorn

A creature of beauty

A creature of grace

Yes, everything has its place.

But you my friend

Have a place all your own

Where no one else can find.

For you exist in my heart,

And also in my mind.

Traits of a Dragon

The dragon is wise beyond its years

It sets no limits and faces all fears

The dragon is powerful in body and mind

Its true to its heart and true to its kind

The dragon is just and flights for what’s right

To all who encounter it, their lives are made bright

The traits of a dragon we all should embrace

And together we’ll make the world a better place.

When I met you

When I first met you, your soft heavenly eyes

Gazed deep into mine,

Transcending space and time.

I was rendered still,

My words I could not find at all.

As I stood there beside myself,

I could only see you and no one else.

When I met you,

I could barely take a breath for I fell deep into you.

When I met you,

I knew you felt the same.

Only once in a lifetime love rushes in,

Charging you like a tide.

And dawn’s ribbon of light

Awakening you inside

It chases away the dark of night,

Changing it into a new day to let the sun in.

And here I was thinking it was all untrue,

That was until I met you.

While Quietly the Angel Sings

Songs of things that have never been

Fill my mind and move my pen

Someone’s hurt alone at night they cry

Someone wishes they could die

Broken promises and untouched dreams

While quietly the angel sings.

So much hate in the world today

Some have chosen to go the other way

Someone cries tears of love

Someone has seen a pure white dove

A baby born into a loving mothers arms

A father has given into his daughters charms

Promises of love and reached dreams

While quietly the angel sings.

Two people met as if by fate

They got married after one date

Someone looks into someone’s eyes

Someone else lets go and old love dies

Someone holds their lover close

Someone dies of an overdose

Chanced promises and risked dreams

While quietly the angel sings.

A brand new angel gets their wings

An abused wife cuts the strings

Someone walks by someone’s side

Our lives aren’t perfect but you have to be strong

There is always something that can go wrong

In a place of hopeful promises and well planned dreams

While quietly the angel sings.

Take someone and hold them close

Its got to be the one you love most

Tell someone their special today

To make friends it’s the only way

Take someone and hold them tight

Dance with them by moonlight

Don’t need music its all in your head

At first its not perfect but it’s a start

As you look into their eyes

Tell them the truth, don’t need no lies

Make no promises but tell of dreams

While quietly the angel sings.

Wind Dancers

Where the tall trees grow

And the butterflies go…

Sometimes as small as a babe’s toe,

Others as big as a garden hoe.

In amongst the flowers,

In the Fairy Vail

Are these tiny dancers

Dancing in the air…
