Star Wars: Battlefront (PS2, GC, XBOX)
Overview
Star Wars Battlefront (for XBOX) was a very interesting game. I (as a Star Wars fan) thought it was an extremely exciting game, for the first twenty battles.

The whole point to the game was to capture 3 to 8 command posts or as I call them portals. They dont transport you anywhere but I call them that because they look somewhat like a portal. The story mode didnt have much of a plot except that you went from one battle to another. The solders fighting along side of you dont interact with you except for the four basic commands, Follow Me, Stay Here, Attack, and Guard (not verbatim).
Then there was Galactic Conquest. This form of game play lets you chose what planetary bonus (health, damage opponents vehicles, no radar for the opponent, extra troops, etc.) to use when you attack or are being attacked. This is the game type I used most.

Lastly there are the individual battles. These are where you chose what planet to fight on and then chose what time era to play in (galactic civil war and the clone wars.)

There are five basic solders you can be. They are the basic solder (machine gun, pistol, and grenades), the demo solder (rocket launcher, pistol, grenade, and mines), the sniper (sniper rifle, pistol, grenade, and a recon droid), the pilot (ether a lighting gun or a grenade launcher, a pistol, vehicle repair kit, and ammo/health kit). Then there are some special people depending on which team (Imperials, Rebels, CIS, and the Clones) you are on. The Imperials have a Dark Trooper (a shotgun, a pistol, and grenades). The Rebels have the Wookies (a bowcaster, grenade launcher, and time bombs). The CIS has the Destroyer Droid (4 blaster cannons, and an energy shield). The Clones have the Jet Trooper (Energy missile launcher, pistol, and grenades).

This is a one of the best family shooters. There is no blood, no language and I think the graphics are pretty good. You can do almost anything from piloting a speeder bike at Endor to Swooping down on the enemy in your X-wing at Bespin or even defending Ecko Base on Hoth in your gun turret (or you could be shooting the gun turret from your AT-AT Walker!) One of my favorite features in Battlefront is that you can, in one game, be the Imperials and attack the Rebels and then go in the next game and defend as the Rebels! Also there is a cool multi-player but sadly it is only 2 player. I think this is a good game but be warned, it may get boring after a while!
