Rating System
Each overall game score includes a rating (1 - 10) of 5 different categories:
Graphics:
The game's look and presentation, as well as its technical use and aesthetic quality (which includes its amount of occuring glitches). The game's transitions and graphics' movement also weigh heavily on its final score.
Physics:
How in-game elements (characters, models, etc...) respond in a real time enviroment or it they respond at all to the player, weather, damage, or any other in-game element.
Gameplay:
The game's features and interesting events that happen while playing the game. This includes interaction with other characters, fighting against enemy A.I., etc... A game with innovative features, exciting challenges, and suprising elements usually will get a good gameplay score.
Story:
Just like any other movie or tv show you watch, you expect an exciting plot with plenty of twists and new surprises to keep you on the edge of your seat. Our video game story ratings are based on whether we think that the story is too boring to recall or keeps your eyes glued to your screen.
Value:
Basically this defines whether the game is a "renting" game, a game that you play once and then have nothing more to do with it, or a "buying" game, a game that you can play over and over again without getting too bored either in single player mode or multiplayer mode with your friends (or enemies). For example, a game with a good multiplayer mode will probably be rated for having a high value.
*Occasionally, a sound category replaces the story category if there is no story to the game.
