Letters to the Editors:

Sometimes my letters to the various publications get published in all their cranky glory. (actually they, often as not, are somewhat truncated) Maybe you had to be there, but here's an archive anyway. The latest is from Ken Rosenthal's mail bag column in the 7/22/03 Sporting News. Here's one from the Orange County Weekly.

Here are two from the Long Beach Press Telegram. The first in response to an op/ed about Rachel Corrie and the other is in response to a column about X-mas songs. I think Tim Grobaty took me a little more seriously than I intended.

The Los Angeles Weekly has usually been pretty good about publishing my letters. This one is the most recent. This one from is fall 2002 in response to a anti anti-war column and the other from that summer was in response to an editorial cartoon.

The following concern sports: from Terry Pluto's column, this about Herb Score and another about the Cleveland Cavaliers. (wanna see how little I know? Here's an earlier letter about the Cavs from the Sporting News) Ken Rosenthal printed this shortly before a strike was averted in the 2002 baseball season.

That's it right now, though there are a few that are MIA...I know Ken Rosenthal has printed me more than once. I also wrote a letter to Bill Livingston of the Cleveland Plain Dealer last year about one of his articles, and he published an excerpt in a follow-up column (I used the letter as the basis of an article for Naked Sunfish so you can at least read that). I guess if you are really bored and have access to something like ProQuest, you could look for those.
