POSY PAD OR DISH

Your choice of flowers are arranged in water-retentive ‘oasis' to maintain their freshness throughout the day. Posy pad arrangements are wide and fairly flat. They are very stable and so suitable for the coffin and for a grave. The diameter of posy pads range from 8” to 16” diameter. Posy pads can be ‘loose' or ‘based'.

Posy dish arrangements have a smaller diameter, are taller and are therefore less stable. However, they make wonderful table arrangements if the flowers are to go to a hospital or home after the funeral.

Based posy pads - This technique involves closely positioning chrysanthymum heads of a single colour (white, cream, bronze or pink) in oasis to create a cushion effect. A small spray of selected flowers create a focal point and the edge can be either pleated ribbon or leaves.
