About Nintendo

Nintendo has been one of the top names in video games for quite a long time. They first reached fame with the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), first released in August of 1985. The NES included a selection of over 700 games.

Next came the Game Boy, which has changed by leaps and bounds since it's orginal release in 1989. It gave players the ability to play games on the go. This is the original ancestor to the Game Boy Advance. Game Boy also includes a game library of over 700 titles.

Date: 1991. The Super Nintendo was released. With 16-bit graphics, this was by far the best home gaming system yet. Also includes a library of over 700 titles, including Super Game Boy, which allows you to play Game Boy games on your Super Nintendo.

The Game Boy Color. The "Parent" of the Game Boy Advance.

Next came the N64. Another breakthrough in gaming technology. Still using cartridges, Nintendo is the only standing survivor of the switch to discs. With a library of over 200 games, and 64-bit graphics, you will not be bored with the N64.

Present Day: The Game Boy Advance and the Game Cube. Game Cube features movie-like graphics, but to do that, they had to switch to discs. The Game Boy Advance graphics rival those of the Super Nintendo, except GBA fits in the palm of your hand. In fact, SNES games are being released on GBA. Games like Super Mario World.
