Quid Pro Quo

Hello and welcome to my page on Quid Pro Quo, a.k.a. Alexis. Alexis is a dapple 10 year old, grey, 16.3hh, Thoroughbred x Quarter Horse x Trakhanner, mare. Alexis isn't exactly what I would call a " school master". She can be quite spooky when she is the only horse around, like when I ride her outdoors in the high sand ring. But I am working with her and we work in there a little more each time I ride her. When she spooks she doesn't really do anything bad. She just throws he head up [ and since she has a long and big neck so it's seems as if she is going to rear, but she doesn't :)...].

I am also working on getting her supple and accepting the bit. She does this ok know but I am trying to perfect this which is kind of hard when I can only ride her at the most twice a week.

As you can probably tell from my other pages that I am looking for a horse that can teach me a lot, and Alexis is definitly not the horse for me in that sense. But there is something magical about her. Something that just draws me to her. Maybe it's that way she nickers to me when I call to her from he stall, or maybe it's that way she looks at me in need of a friend ( ATTENTION: Alexis isn't abuse or anything so please don't think of it like that!! She just needs a little extra attention sometimes ^_^...)and someone to pamper her. I will never know but like all the horses I have ridden she has a big spot in my heart that will never be taken away from her, no matter how many horses I ride and own.
