Crosby

This was Crosby and I on our last ride together at the pony club.

I remember when Jacqueline ( my coach ) said I could ride him I was almost doing back flips with excitement! Ever since that day the bond between us just grew and grew.

When I had found out that the Pony Club where I ride was closing I was wishing and praying that they would change their mind and keep it open or at least sell Crosby to me. Neither happened so he moved to Frederiction where they took all of the Pony Club horses. Then I found out that I could go down there for one of their camps. I was so excited! I was going to see Crosby again! When we got there I practically speed walked into the barn to see him. During that camp I had so much fun but I knew the week would have to end.

This is Crosby and I at our first CEF show. His show name was Impulse.

A while after camp, in the fall I heard the worst thing I have heard in my life ( besides my Nanny dieing of Breast Cancer ) Crosby had been put down. My mom said Jackie had called earlier to say that it was the best thing for him, since the injury would have just gotten worse with age.

Crosby was the best horse in the whole world, I know everyone says that about their horses, but he truly was my baby :) I loved him so much, I wish I could have bought him when we had the chance, but my parents weren't ready then, and I guess it was better for me in a way. Crosby had to be put down due to a leg injury but he will always hold a special place in my heart.
