Hi, My name is Becky. I'm 18 and this page is for my grandma she was a very good, kind, caring and loving person. If you take the time to look over and read this homepage I bet you will find that if you would have had the chance to meet her you would have liked her. She was outgoing and loved life. She was born Patricia Gladys Campbell on April 28th 1941. She was the daughter of Gladys Ruth and John Ralph Campbell. She was a good wife, mother, and a number one grandma. She was a women everyone loved and cared about. Her one joy in life was her kid's and grandkid's. All together she had 6 kid's but god took her baby boy Rusty Dewayne Davis when he was 4 months old. I am the second out of 12 grandkid's. She loved the out door's. If there was a nice day out you would find her out side. There are a lot of good memory's but as of 1998 they become bad. When my aunt Debbie her youngest was born 21 years before she found out she had Cervical Cancer the samething that took her mom's life. My grandfather told her she could not go to the doctors or he would hurt her and her kid's. So in the love of her kids she did not go. 21 years later in 1998 she found out she would have to go to the doctors or die. She picked the doctors. That did not go over well with my grandfather. He told her daily she was a slut and everytime she went she had sex with the doctors it did not matter man or women. HE beat and tryed to rape her. As she fought for her life a life she loved he would tell her to give up. She never gave up. The cancer got were they could not stop it. In March of 1999 she was put in the hospital. I was 16 teen at the time on April 16th my older brother's birthday he asked me to stay with her so I started staying with her helping her. In May the doctors gave her a choice to go home and die or go to a nursing home she picked the nursing home. She was there for 2 months. I was there by her side the whole time. Even though she was in so much pain she never showed it. She knew she was dying and instead of showing how bad she was feeling she tryed to make things easer for everyone else. On July 12th at 4:00am 1999 something woke me up. I woke to find the best person in the world had died. She was put to rest on July 17th 1999 and I think I do have to say my grandma never looked more pretty, happy and at peace then that day. I do believe my grandma is in heaven holding her baby boy Rusty who she had lost so very long ago. Being able to see her in my mind her face on the day she got up there and my great grandparents handed her her baby and seeing her eyes light up and that beautiful smile go a crossed her face. Has made it easer for me. I did this page in memory of Patricia Davis our angel, our best friend, and best of all my grandma. A women who should have not of died. This page is also to tell every women out there that is being beat by a man there is help out there don't let my grandma's story become your's don't make your family have to go through what we all went through. Don't make them have to start something like this to worn people there is help out there. My grandma just found that help to late and now all we have is our memorys of someone who was loved and respected by all who knew her. It is a shame that she will never see her grandkid's get married and see and hold her great grandkid's. That is all she wanted in life but because my grandfather was a asshole she will never have that. But there is one thing my grandfather can't and never will kill is our memory's and love for one great women and as long as I am around everyone will know those memorys and will see how a great women's life got cut sort she was 58 years old and had many more year's to go. She is love and missed and always will be. We love and miss you grandma. You were a number 1 mom and a number 1 grandma and our angel. We would never trade the time we all had with you for anything. I LOVE YOU GRANDMA!!!!!!!!!! |
