Is This A Witch?!?!
Merry meet!
Yuppers! This is what us Witches look like. Nah, just kidding around. We look absolutely nothing like this at all! Actually, you wouldn't be able to tell a Witch from a regular person, unless of course a Witch is weraing his/her Pentacle. Otherwise, we look exactally like regular people, because we are regular people...Just with a little special something about us.
What a Witch is, is a person male or female that honors and acknowledges the change in the seasons, watches the Moon as it grows and fades. A person who sees the beauty in the Sun, Moon, Earth and Stars. A person who can create Magick and make things happen! Exciting, yet beautiful....A Witch is.
When I say make things happen, I am not talking make someone fall head over heels in love with you, or guess the winning lotto number and become a billionaire over night. The truth in what I said is, a Witch can make things happen for their selves, or someone whom they love own good. Never can a Wiccan Witch do harm to another person. A Wiccan Witch must always follow the Rede: 'An it harm none, do what ye will.' Which in short means do the magick, but don't harm a soul!
If you believe a Witch is like the character Sabrina, from "Sabrina the teenage Witch," or the girls from "Charmed" with powers to freeze time. Then you are wrong. Hate to say it, but Hollywood has not helped with spreading about correct knowledge of Witches. Of course, why would they want to? REAL Witches wouldn't really grab anyone's attention. Why? Because we aren't demon hunters, we can't spin thread into gold, we can't make things appear out of thin air and we have never walked on water! Goddess! We don't even believe in demons or the "Devil"! So, you see we are normal...And normal on television is boring. So, never believe the Witchy shows on television...They aren't showing truth, just grabbing your attention.
As I spoke of the "Devil" in the above paragraph, let me explain...See, we do not believe in a "Satan," a "Devil," nor do we believe in a red hot fiery place called "Hell." The reason we don't blieve in these things are because they are another religion's belief...Not a Wiccan belief. The "Devil" and "Hell" are beilved in by the Christian religions. Why would a person of one religion believe in a Deity (God), of another religion?
What do Witches believe in? Many Gods and many Goddesses...Very many. To name a few Goddesses, there is: Isis, Athena, Aphroditie, Innana, Astarte, Diana and very many more. A few Gods are: Pan, Cerrnunnous, Osiris, Apollo, Helios and again many, many more. The Gods and Goddesses are well-known Deities from ancient religions from all over the world. Witches can address the Gods and Goddesses simply by, My Lady and My Lord, or God and Goddess.
Witches also believe in protecting and preserving our planet for future generations. I have never met a true Witch that littered...Seriously. It may sound funny, but it is not when you think of all the people who litter today. Litter is ruining out planet. Along with the destruction of the Rain Forests, Tress, Animals and bodies of Water. Our Air is being polluted and with all this destruction out Mother Earth is slowly being killed. We as Witches, try to our best ability to help stop the destruction. Even if it means turning off a light not being used or holding a piece of trash until we meet up with a good old trash can to throw it in.
I can keep going on about what Witches are, but Witches are a lot of things...In short they are Magick.
