When does a padawan become a Jedi Knight?
A padawan becomes a Jedi Knight in many ways. For some it is when he there are other alternatives to fighting one who has fell to darkside. Another is when he understands that there is good in all beings, whether they are dark or light. Anther is when he understands the way to the darkside and how to keep from going down it, this means understands fully, not just knows it as a book reference. I feel that a Knight needs to know fully the dangers of the Darkside and the pitfalls and disadvantages. A Knight must also be able to teach a new apprentice in what the force is and the way it works and why it exists. They must also have a working knowledge of how to construct a lightsaber. They must understand current galactic happenings and have a sense of galactic history. They must have a working knowledge of other cultures and planets as well. They need to be able to explain how they access the Force.
