Tips & Help
- Q: How can I play Legacy over the
modem?
- A: That's not supported by Legacy
yet but if you have Win95 then you can create a
Dial-Up Server with one computer and connect to
it with the second. For instructions how, click
here...

Dial-Up Server Instructions
- A: Several DooMers have also
informed me that they renamed Doom3.exe to
Doom2.exe and then used DM.EXE to start a game
just as they used to. This will not allow more
than 2 players for modem games and 4 players for
Lan games but will still allow you to use all the
other new features of Legacy.
- A: Another DooMer recommended the
use of other sersetup replacements such as HX8.ZIP
which allows daisy-chaining serial ports and
specifying the game EXE file.
Z-DooM
There's a new kid on the block and it's a good one. Z-DooM
combines parts of Legacy, BooM, and DosDooM and brings them all
together in a native Win95 program. This could be a contender and
is looking great already.
