Slice Tool
This tutorial attempts to explain how to use the slice tool so as to be able to hyperlink certain parts of a tag
.
Each heart in the tag below will link you to a different page on my website and if you hover over each one for few seconds you will see the alternative text that pops up too.
This tut written in psp7
Open psp
Open or make the tag you wish to 'slice' up
click on your slice tool
psp7
psp8,9 & 11
and this menu should appear

click on the grid button, then click on the image window

Enter your grid size and press ok

now you will notice that the grid is probably not in the
right place for where you want your links, thats ok click on the arrow button then click on the grid lines to move them into place, so each piece of the tag you want to link is within its own square
use the hand tool to drag your tag around the window so you can see it all
You can also click the grid button again and click inside one of the squares to make a secondary
grid and move those lines about again using the arrow tool.

If you wish to remove any of the lines click the eraser button then click on the line you wish to remove
The grid is really a matter of just playing around until you get it how you want it.
Here is my finished grid, with some lines removed

Once you have your grid right, choose your arrow tool and click inside your first square to make it active
it should turn bright green.
Type the url of your first link into the top box
type in any alternative text you wish displayed in the second box - for example when someone hovers on it
choose from the dropdown list in the third box - I usually choose _self if I am directing to another page
on my site and _blank if im directing off site.
choose which format you wish your image to be saved as - I usually use jpeg

Then click on your second square and enter the details for that and so on until all your squares are linked.
Now click on save, give it a name and dont forget to put .html at the end of the document.
You can now click close.
Open the folder where you saved your sliced tag and this is similar to what you should see.

Now to get this on your website.
First of all you will need to upload your images to your site or to a reliable image hosting site
Then right click on the html document and open with notepad, hit ctrl & A to select the entire document and copy and paste it into your editor on your site.
If you have uploaded your images to a image host you will now need to copy and paste the url of each piece into the code after the word SRC=" and dont forget to delete the original image name.

Ok please feel free to ask if anything isnt clear and I will do my best to explain it better lol
