Seasons Greetings







For this tutorial you will need:

PSP7 or above
My supplies HERE
filters - Simple (in zip) Xenofex 2 you can download a demo version HERE



OK Lets begin!



1. Open your tube in psp and duplicate (shift + D) close your original.
If using your own tube you will need to resize
all layers making sure that the height is 480 and
maintain aspect ratio is checked.

2. Merge all flatten.

3. Duplicate your merged layer.

4. Effects - plug ins - xenofex 2 - burnt edges using the settings below.



5. Merge all flatten, then promote to raster layer.

6. Image, canvas size, 600 x 480. Image, resize 80% all layers UNCHECKED.

7. Effects, 3d, drop shadow - H/V 1 Opacity 80 Blur 4.9 color black.
Repeat drop shadow but change H/V to -1.



8. Edit, copy.
New raster layer, flood fill with a light color from your tube.
Layers, arrange, send to bottom.

9. Selections, select all, new raster layer.
Paste into selection. Selections, select none.

10. Change the blend mode of this layer to luminance
and lower the opacity to 77.

11. Effects, plug ins, simple, pizza slice mirror.
Duplicate this layer, image, mirror.

12. Merge visible.

13. Choose your text tool,
size 72, vector and antialias checked, line width 2
set your background color to the same light color from your tube used in step 8.
Set foreground to the dark colour from the burnt edge (see screenshot)



Add your first word 'Seasons', image rotate left 90,
place where you like it (see my finished tag for reference),
convert to raster
Effects - 3d, Inner bevel with settings below.



Add your second word 'greetings', Image rotate right 90,
place where you like it, convert to raster.
Add inner bevel again.

Optional Step.
14. New raster layer add some holly or other Christmas
decorations, on the corners of your middle image.

15. add copyright and your watermark, merge all flatten save as jpg.
