WOW - Where do I start, this is the most powerful movie I have ever seen. I had no idea what to expect from Bichunmoo.
Bichunmoo is a story that really plays with your emotions, it is extremely well written and the two leads do the story justice with passionate performances. I was eager to see how Jinha's and Sullies characters would develop and more importantly I really felt for both of them and hoped they would ultimately have good fortune. The rest of the cast also played their parts very well, it was just that they were outshone by this talented pair.
The fight sequences are a pleasure to watch with the camera work emphasising each swordstroke performed by the obviously talented martial artists on display. Just as impressive are the effects used, easily rivalling anything Hollywood can offer.
Kim-Young Jun? Why have I never heard of this director before? The way he has blended some of the most inspired fight scenes in years with such a beautiful love story is incredible. This is the BEST movie I have ever seen and trust me I have seen thousands. I was in tears as the closing credits rolled and i felt literally exhillerated.
I will be watching this film again and again over the years to come and hope that you get the chance to view Bichunmoo and enjoy it half as much as I did.
