KUNG FU CULT MASTER.
Starring - Jet Lee - Sammo Hung - Chingamy Yau.
Directed by - Wong Jing.

The story revolves around two swords, To Lung and Yee Tin. The legend goes whoever hold both shall rule the world of martial arts.
Chang Tsui San and his wife Yan So So are the only two people who know the hiding place of the sword To Lung. Early in the film the two are attatcked in an attempt to locate the sword and Chang Tsui San decide the only way out of this predicament is by way of 'Internal Combustion' whilst his wife takes the rather easier option suicide by the knife. This is all performed in front of their son Mo Kei, who unfortunately is struck with the dreaded Jinx Palm to prevent him from using any kind of martial arts. Eight years later and the now adult Mo Kei (Jet Lee) reflects on this incident and wants revenge, but due to his Jinx Palmed body there is nothing he can do. For now anyway!
This is one hell of  a convoluted storyline, but is redeemed by some excellent characters, including 'The Notorious Jinxes' - 'The cooking Monk' with huge strap on rock (available at all good Rocks'R'us) and the naughty 'Master No Mercy'. Chuck in some serious eyebrows and a lot of big hair and this all turns into an excellent new wave movie, despite the over-elaborate plot.
My only gripes with the film is that there isn't enough close up fight scenes and the film ends unconcluded, obviously setting itself up for a sequel. As this movie ws filmed in 1993 it seems unlikely that we will be treated to a conclusion.

This is an entertaining and funny film, therefore 8********stars.
