| LAST HERO IN CHINA. Starring - Jet Lee - Anita Yuen - Cheung Man - Gordon Liu. Directed by - Wong Jing. Wong Fei Hung (Jet Lee) martial artist and doctor decides his 'Po Chi Lam' (school of medicine) is too small and decides to move to bigger premises. He ends up next door to the local brothel thus ensuring plenty of comedic opportunities. Along the way he and his students make enemies of the Boxer Association and Hong Hung (Gordon Liu) the local law official. Local women are going missing as part of the slave trade and are being sold to the nasty Brits. Are they connected? Fei Hung seizes every chance in showing his displeasure to this heinous crime and sets about to uncover the truth. With some trade mark Jet Lee fight scenes and a healthy portion of comedy this movie is one not to be missed. From the opening 3 on 1 fight scene set in the train station to the lion / centipede finale this movie never gives you chance to catch your breath. A fantastic cast and a believable script ensure you get the goods. One point of interest is the fantastic Gordon Liu proving he is no slouch after all these years in the martial Arts movie industry. Worth watching just for his contribution alone but combined with the awesome talents of Jet Lee and the great direction of Wong Jing this proves to be a monster of a film. 9*********stars.
