SHAOLIN SOCCER.
Starring - Stephen Chiao - Ng Man Tat - Vicky Zhao Wei.
Directed by - Lee Lik Chi / Stephen Chiao.

Flashback 20 years.
Golden Leg Fung accepts the dishonour cheque from Hung and throws the soccer game. He is immidiately crippled by his adoring fans as arranged by Hung.
20 Years on and Fung (Ng Man Tat) is told of the horrible truth by Hung who is now the famous coach of the 'Evil Team'.
Devastated Fung ambles away into a life of begging where he meets 'The Mighty Steel Leg' (Stephen Chiao) a refuse collecter who's aim in life is to develop a good method to package 'Shaolin kung fu'.
Between them they decide soccer is the way forward and enlist the help of Steel Leg's shaolin brothers:-
'Iron Head', 'Empty Hand', 'Iron Shirt', 'Weight Vest' and 'Hooking Leg'.
Together they challenge for the National Soccer Tournament title and a prize of one million dollars.
This is a fantastic film with some great sfx (think Matrix) and an extremely strong cast. It's fast and funny throughout and has way too many good points to name them all.
I will sum it all up with the now infamous little ditty as performed by 'Steel Leg' and 'Iron Head' as pictured below right.

'Shaolin kung fu is great,
really great.
Shaolin kung fu is wonderful,
wonderful.
I'm Iron Head,
Iron Head.
Your'e Mighty Steel leg,
I'm Mighty Steel Leg'.
