| THE RECORD Starring - Park Joong Hoon - Chu Sang Mi - Kim Ju Hyuk - Gi Ju Bong. Director - Kim Jong Seok. Sung Wook is constantly bullied at school because of his allergies, so when he is offered the opportunity to study with Eun Mi and her best friend Hui Jung at their summerhouse he jumps at it. Shortly after arriving at the house Sung Wook is murdered when a prank to scare him goes horribly wrong. Desperate they decide to burn Sung Wooks body then bury the remains with the tape of the whole incident. One year later and the five are being hunted down one by one. Oh my word! Where do I start? This is one hell of a bad movie obviously inspired by the Notoriously bad ‘Stalk n Slash’ movies that have plagued Hollywood for years. Don’t get me wrong I liked Friday the 13th when I was a kid and I really don’t mind the Scream trilogy but this doesn’t come close to matching these. This is probably the worst movie of its ilk I have seen, from bad acting to an even worse score at times drowning out the screams. The plot is so full of holes you could drive a very large herd of elephants through it. I could go on and on about how bad this is, but I think you get the point. Just why are movies like this still being made? 1*star. |
