The 1999 pot was the first honey pot ever made for the Society. It was a special commission from the Griselda Hill Pottery Wemyss. It was a limited edition, and also limited to one per member. The number is marked underneath. It came with a certificate designed by John Doyle. It is approximately 5 inches, 12 c.m. high, and has a base diameter of 3 inches, 8 c.m. It has a spoon hole moulding in the lid.

2000

The Year 2000 pot was conceived and designed exclusively for the Society by

David Wellings

My brief to David was for something special for the coming Millennium year, and for something original.

David worked very hard to produce such a clever and inspired design. The lid is  moulded in the style of the Millennium Dome, with a clever play on the word 'Millennium'   :  MIEL is the French word for Honey. The noughts of the 2000 are moulded as hexagons - the very shape that the honeybee makes its wax honeycomb cells.  David gave very generously of his time, and at no charge whatsoever to the Society. It measures 4  inches, 10 c.m. high, with a base width of 4 inches, 10 c.m. at the bottom and 3¼ inches, 8 c.m. at the top. The lid is 4 inches,  10 c.m. wide. It was limited to 100 pots, and they all came with a certificate designed by member Karen Sutherland. The bases are not numbered.

   2001

The 2001 pot was designed and created exclusively for the Society by the Vicary's of Pennance Pots, in their well known art deco style. The edition was limited to 100 pots, and is called 'Hollyhocks'. Each is numbered on the base. It came with a certificate designed and signed by John Doyle. It measures 4½ inches, 11.5 c.m. high, with a base width of  3½ inches, 9 c.m.

  2002

The 2002 'pot' was infact a box, or section dish. It is the correct size to take a section of honey laden honeycomb. It was exclusively designed for the Society by David Wellings. The edition was limited to 100, and came with a certificate designed and signed by John Doyle, and David Wellings. It measures 5 inches, 13 c.m. by 5 inches, 13 c.m. by 4 inches, 10 c.m. high. The bases are not numbered.

2003

The 2003 pot was designed and created exclusively by the Vicary's of Pennnance Pots. The edition was limited to 100 pots, and is called 'Shangri-la'. Each is stamped and numbered on the base. It came with a certificate designed and signed by John Doyle, Hazel Vicary and Jim Vicary. It measures 4¼ ins., 11 c.m. high, and a maximum 3½ ins.,   9 c.m. wide.
