History
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. . .  there was a great civilization called Garternay. On Garternay a humanoid species lived. Withen there long stay there the Garternay created a way to link to the infinant possibilities, or could create gateways to diffrent worlds. (To see more on this go to my Regestoy page.)
Then Garternay became unstable and the inhabitents had to find a new home. One half of Garternay linkes away to The age of Earth (written by R'Neref) and started a new life as the D'ni in and underground cavern. The other half went to an age called Terehnee. The two great civilizaton kept in contact for another 4000 years.
In D'ni about 4000 years after their arrival there was a man named The Great King. He did many things. He ordered the D'ni to never visit Garternay agian. For there doomed home world was... well doomed. He also made prophecies in his sleep. Many of these prophecies did come true. (more on this will be released later.) After his death he was sealed far under the Guild of Ink-Makers Guild Hall. In his tomb was the Terehnee descriptive book. The two civilizations were cut off for good.
About 6,000 more years past. In that time a King named Kerath changed the goverment of D'ni from kings to five great lords.
To D'ni
Before the child was named Gehn left his son in the care of Ti'ana. Keta died as a result of child birth. Gehn returned to D'ni alone at the age of 14 to try and resurect the great civilization and learn the secrets of the Art. 14 years later Gehn returned for his son, of whom Ti'ana named Atrus. Gehn took Atrus back down to D'ni so he could his son the secrets of The Art. Many years passed and Atrus and Gehn had a few disputes. Gehn finally sent Atrus to his fifth age or Riven to see if Atrus could find its flaws and sve the age rom collapsing. Atrus did save the age, met his wife Cahtherine, and traped Gehn on Riven for all time. Atrus and Cathreine lived happily ever after on MYST. Or so we thought...
Close to the final days of D'ni The Great Lords ordered that a tunnel be built to the surface of the earth, to make contact with surface dwellers. The Guild of Surveyers tunneled to the surface, but the Great lords changed their mind and a seal was put over the entrence.
Soon after Aitrus, a survyer that worked on the tunnel became a Guild Master and was elected to the council. (
See Government) On the surface at about that time a human girl named Anna was caring for her sick father. Very soon after her father died. As a result Anna took a small trip down into the caverns that Aitrus and his guild created. Anna was captured and taken to a prison age where she was kept until the council could decide on what to do with her. The decision was to keep her in D'ni. Aitrus's father volunteered to take care of Anna. Anna learned the D'ni customs and almost fit in as one. Aitrus fell in love with Anna and asked her to marry her. Anna's name was then changed to Ti'ana.
Aitrus and Ti'ana lived hapily for many years and had a son called Ghen. When Gehn was at the appropriate age he joined the Guild of Book Makers. Soon after an old friend of Aitrus called Veovis and son of one the Great Lord started working with a convict named A'gerius. Those two working together brought destruction to D'ni for 70 years. Many D'ni escaped to diffrent ages, some did not. As a result of the destruction of D'ni, Aitrus died, his last wishes were to have Ti'ana and Gehn escape to the surace. And they did. In Ti'ana's old home Gehn lived and grew up. On the surface Gehn had a child with a human named Keta.
After the collapse of Riven and the saving of Catherine Atrus set out to rebuild D'ni. After months of searching old linking books and finding D'ni survivers they started the renovation. While Master Tamon (surviver of the guild of stone masons) was renovating the Guild Hall of the Guild of Ink Makers, he discovered a sealed chamber. When Atrus opened the Chamber he discovered a descriptive book to an age and the tomb of The Great King, with all of his prophecies. Atrus and a few companions linked to the age and soon find out that this is Terehnee the sister civilization of the D'ni, split off many years ago. At first everything appears perfect in Terehnee, rolling hills and medows, huge mansions to its citizens, elaborate games and music. But Terehnee was run by slaves and the overseers start getting sik with a mysterious illness. Soon a huge plauge ravishes all of Terehnee affetcing alll but the D'ni. The slaves are set free and have civil war. In the end the slaves unite and Atrus writes a new home for them. The descriptive book for Terehnee is sealed. And the surviving D'ni and Terehnee live happily on their new home of Releashan.
