Congratulations to my dear Miss Sara Ferguson, who recently enlisted to become a MARINE...I am so excited for her and praise God for this amazing opportunity He has blessed my best friend with. So we haven't exactly gotten around to recording any more this summer, but (Oviedo) Borders on July 5th and Thursday-night Natura Coffeehouse open mics this fall (& late summer) are definite possibilities. Whatever we end up doing, WITHOUT FAIL, there is going to be some kind of farewell party/cookout/show thing before Sara leaves for Paris Island, SC in December.

In other news, I successfully started guitar lessons and am having a blast. I can fingerpick the intro to Kansas' Dust In The Wind, which I find very exciting because I never would have figured out how to do that myself. That's mostly what I'm taking lessons for- because I feel like I'm at a sort of standstill where it's gotten quite difficult to teach myself anything more advanced than basic chords; I want to be taught. And that's what really awesome guitar teachers do, so it works out pretty well.

I'm going to pray about it, and if God prompts me and I think I have the time/energy to actually maintain it, I'm considering purchasing my own domain. At present this would be a pretty silly idea considering that I don't even maintain the site that I have now. I ought to start doing that. But it'd be nice to not have my mp3 hosts always giving people error messages (although it's been awhile since I've put out an mp3, much less an mp3 that I'm proud of, lol). I'm also planning to purchase an Apple Powerbook this fall with some of my excess scholarship money, and I could update from like anywhere. How ridiculously convenient is that? The true test will be to see if I actually do. ;)

In any case, I hope you are having a marvelous summer. Stay safe (I mean that).

Love Always in Christ,

Sara-Dubya

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

Rise up oh flame, children of the revolution. We raise our song, an unsilencable cry. Truth is strength to change the face of our generation. We're not buying into it, we won't believe the lies.
