The Shores [08/09/03, 11/22/03]
The night I saw the light
Of what I hoped for beaming
Clear, in foggy black and gray
Chilled water o'er my bare feet streaming.
My nearly blind eyes almost useless
Yet knowing a presence, made ready to recieve
I walked there on distant shores
That beautiful darkened eve.
"They were right," she smiled
She saw Him here
Embraced by her Father
Deepest love that draws her near.
Recalling dismal, shameful hours
She fell upon the misty beach
Giving her heart in quiet praise
She never was beyond His reach.
For the fulfilling of His Word
"Thank you" still did not suffice
A promise to her He never did break
Sealed with His own blood and love's greatest price.
And as the night breeze brought her to life
He finally bade her rise
And clothed her with His royal robes
Death in His daughter's heart dies.
As each veiled wave crashed on the shore
She remembered, now, forever
He met her here, tonight and always
Her dear Father walks beside her.
