From the Bridge

Greetings from the CO! I hope everyone is looking forward to March. It looks like it will be a very busy month., If anyone is interested, the Howdy Pardner Chapter of the American Business Women's Association is holding their second annual Mystery Night Fund-raiser on Friday, March 24 at the Radisson Odessa. Local celebrities will present a mystery in which they are all suspects, and the guests will determine which of them is the guilty party. All proceeds benefit the Education Fund, which provides scholarships to local students attending Midland College, Odessa College, or UTPB. It's a great time, a great dinner, and it's for a really great cause--just call me if you want tickets.
Great news for BABYLON 5 fans--the show has a new home (time period, that is!). You can watch it Sunday at noon, until further notice. Also, there's a new show starting March 10. It's called VR5 and it airs right before THE X-FILES. "VR" stands for Virtual Reality and the show looks pretty cutting-edge. Hopefully, it will make a good companion piece for THE X-FILES. Time will tell...
I don't know if anyone caught the Screen Actors' Guild Awards on NBC the other night, but I was very happy to see that Patrick Stewart was nominated for "Best Male Actor in a Dramatic Series." He also presented an award to Jodie Foster. So, after seven seasons of excellent television, NOW the nominations finally come! Ah well, better late than never.
Did everyone get their copy of THE LION KING on video? Better hurry, they'll go fast! And that is a really great movie! I laughed myself silly when I saw it, and I'm watching it again every chance I get. In fact, I'm watching it now! (Just kidding!)
Did everyone order a T-shirt? If you didn't, you really should. They look terrific. Sandy deserves a round of applause for finding a screen printer that could do such a good job for that price. Way to go, Sandy!
I also want to thank everyone who pitched in for the bake sale. We had lots of goodies, and would probably have been quite successful except for the weather. So thank you for your efforts, and better luck next time!
