FROM THE BRIDGE

Greetings from the command chair! Welcome to spring, everyone! I am ready for a picnic--I hope everyone else is as well. Our shuttle picnic this year will be in Big Spring at the park which Lynne has reserved for us--so everyone get out your cookbooks and whip up some culinary delights for all of us to enjoy! And don't forget your frisbees, kites, balls, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, etc. ad infinitus.

I don't know about everyone else, but this is the craziest time of year for me--with May sweeps, the end of kindergarten, looking for summer daycare (what a pain!), sinus pressure and pain, and just about everything else which could possibly happen actually happening, it's just a whirlwind! But I can't really complain, because it's an exciting time of year if more than a little exhausting! And, every day that passes gets us closer to being commissioned as a full-fledged starship--and that is something that will make me very proud. Those of you who have stuck with the Fearless through all the negative things that have happened (which I won't mention here becuase it will only depress all of us!) deserve the honor of becoming the crew of the U.S.S. Fearless when that day finally comes.

Anyone who missed the meeting in April at Mind Play, bummer for you! We voted on the new logos for our T-shirts, and had a really good time. Also, we picked Friday, May 17 as our next movie night. We will meet at Joni's house and we will make sub sandwiches for our evening repast. Everyone who plans to attend bring what you like on your sandwiches and be prepared to have fun. Joni assures me that she has picked out the perfect movie for us to watch! (And knowing her, that could be really scary!)

If you plan to go to the picnic on May 18th and you need a ride, please call someone. Don't miss out on the fun just because you don't have transportation. We're a friendly bunch, and the more the merrier, so scome on and make us more, already!

The season finale of Voyager is coming up soon, so everybody tune in for that and maybe we'll have a roundtable discussion of that episode. The ratings for both DS9 and Voyager are not what they could be, so a few changes could be in order for next season. Time will tell on that front.

See everyone on the 18th! I'm bringing a big appetite for fun, so I hope to see all of you there! LL&P
