CAPTAIN'S LOG, STARDATE MAY SOMETHING (I never could figure out how they did that?!)

Well, crew, greetings to all, and is there anyone who ISN'T glad we postponed the garage sale? I don't know what I was thinking when I thought that the middle of May sweeps would be a good time to take on something huge like that. I MUST BE MAD! Just ask anyone who knows me, they'll say, "You better believe she's crazy!" That's just their way of saying how much they all love me! What else could they possibly mean?

Summer is quickly approaching, and that can only mean one thing: THE ANNUAL FEARLESS PICNIC. If I'm not mistaken, said event has been planned for the same revised day of the garage sale, whenever we decide that that is. The location for the garage sale and the picnic will be at Joni's house, corner of Neely and Northrup, in Midland. Anyone who needs directions just ask Joni at the meeting. Summer also means we will really, really, really schedule the car wash soon, so everyone repeat after me: Wax on, wax off...wax on, wax off...wax on, wax off...

Did anyone else ever get anything back from Starfleet when they renewed their membership? I've been trying to round up all my proof that I renewed, so that I can verify that I in fact did renew, and get my name off the list that says I didn't. If that makes sense, then some of you probably are experiencing the same difficulty. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help (although what that might be, I am not sure!)

I did the promos for the season finale of STAR TREK VOYAGER this morning, and the show looks pretty good. I read an article in TV GUIDE about the episode, and it sounds like the writers pulled out all the stops when they brought back the Borg, so let's hope that it is an episode like we've never seen before! And may the mighty Nielsen shine its glowing countenance down upon VOYAGER, and so it will be renewed! And while you're at it, you might add a little prayer for SLIDERS, the fate of which is iffy at best.

I guess that will do it for now. There's a lot coming up, and we'll need everyone's help if our fundraisers are going to be successful. And don't forget, our membership could use a boost, so drag any and all unsuspecting new prospects to the next meeting. Once they're there, we'll razzle dazzle 'em, and then, we clinch the deal! So head 'em up, and move 'em out!
