2/3 cup shortening

1 1/2 cups sugar

3 eggs

1tsp vanilla

2 3/4 cup self rising flour

1/ 1/3 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and cream thoroughly. Add vanilla. Add alternately flour in three portions and milk in two. Pour into 9 inch greased cake pans. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Allow to cool 10 min before removing from pans.
