Guidelines

I envision this list to be a place where people can fool around and be as silly as they like without causing offence, so there aren't too many guidelines. Topic diversions are all part of the fun. However, there are a very few important guidelines:

1. Ophelia is the Supreme List Goddess.

My word is law, my decision is law. Tributes in the form of choccies, fan fiction and videos are graciously received. I really hope to do nothing more strenuous than chatter on this list, but if you annoy me, prepare to be blasted. Also, I can break or change my own guidelines whenever I feel like it. So there. ;P

2. "London Calling" is a wimmin-friendly, queer-friendly, non-racist forum.

I want this to be a place where irreverence and innuendo flourish, as they do on the shows. Vulgar Britcom gets a lot of laughs from camp, Krauts and cleavage. Also, if you want to seriously discuss the portrayal of the Nazis in 'Allo 'Allo or whatever, feel free. However, any hostile sexist, racist or homophobic attacks or hatred-inciting statements will be flamed or result in the poster being unsubscribed, according to my whim or my level of annoyance. If you feel it's a chance to gay bash verbally, this is the wrong list for you. I shouldn't have to give this warning, but bitter experience tells me its necessary. Remember, members of minority groups are the majority of people, so it doesn't hurt to be tolerant.

3. Flaming

Doesn't bother me really. But be prepared to be flamed back. My only rules are try not to be *too* abusive, and follow the guidelines above.

4. Naughty Language, Sexual Innuendo, and Knockwursts.

Have you SEEN these shows? There's no minimum age for joining, but remember to expect adult concepts, adult language, all that rot.

5. Unacceptable Posts

Spamming, chain-letters, and so on will get you scolded in a very sharp fashion or thrown off, depending on how amiable I feel at the time. And any messages about e-mail viruses will result in the poster being banned from the list forever. I cannot stand one more discussion on whether it is possible to send a virus by e-mail...

6. Say Hello

Lastly, consider introducing yourself to the list when you join. It's a small list, so saying hello is a friendly start.
