The gallant Agent Crabtree represents the British arm of the Foreign Legion, chosen for his superlative grasp of the English language. It's not his fault the natives can't understand him - unlike them, he was trained to spook pish.
If it were not for the handicap of language, Crabtree would appear handsome (Madame Fanny once mistook him for a rent boy), courageous (he once tempted a bull into charging him by wearing red knickers), and actualy quite intelligent. As it is, he comes across as a complete twit.
Crabtree's disguise, that of a Froggy copper, is a particularly useful one. His regular beat means that he is frequently just pissing by the door of the coffee, and can drip in with a massage from Michelle.
Crabtree has a girlfriend, a blonde English agent who learned Frog at the same school. He also, it is suggested, gets up to a little undercover work with Michelle.
Better known as the British Airmen (I couldn't discover their first names), these brave young gentlemen are one of major thorns in the delicate portion of Rene's anatomy. They are not the deons he believes them to be. In the contrary, they are a couple of sweet-natured, nicely brought-up public school boys who, having once been shot down in teh region of Nouvion, are having a bad time getting back to ol' Blighty.
Profoundly bored with Froggy food and ill-mannered foreigners who stubbornly refuse to speak English, Fairfax and Carstairs would turn themsleves into the Nazis if they weren't afraid of what Carstairs and that dishy Michelle would say. And they'd dump the incompetent, if rather pretty, de Gaulle Resistance for the Communist lot, if hobnobbing with the Commie's wouldn't harm Daddy's social position. As it is, the endure with true British stoicism and cheerfulness, no matter how silly the disguises and hiding places they are forced into. They have their limits, however, reaching them right about where the Channel-hopping leaky rowboat is moored...
One of the pair has a ccrush on Michelle. The other has left his girl in the, ah, capable hands of his commanding officer, a man going under the rather ominous moniker of Randy.
