Our channel is found on the DALnet IRC network. To join in the conversation on #SoapHeaven, you first have to connect to DALnet. Try this shortcut, it works for some but not for others. Click on the link just below. If you get through, log on as dalnet and make up a nickname. Then type /join #SoapHeaven and say "hi".

If it tells you there are too many people using the connection right now, keep trying.
If it says you are missing an application, you need a telnet program. It's easier and better just to use an IRC client program (see below).
The best way to reach us is to download your own client. If you have a PC, mIRC is a good one, you can download it here. If you have a Macintosh, you could try Ircle, choose a DALnet server,
and presto. The best advice is probably to talk to your Internet Service Provider and ask their advice.
It's pretty complicated doing it on your own, but the good people at DALnet have provided instructions and a list of servers to use. - Find Out How
Once you have a client, type in the name of the server you want to use (my favorite is cin.DAL.net, but you can always use irc.dal.net to be assigned a random one), and then /join #SoapHeaven to join us. To find out if anyone else is there, type /who #SoapHeaven for a list.
You may find that you are there all alone (oh oh, sorry). Wait a little while, somone else may be by any minute. The best times to try are at night, especially on the weekends, but the channel is growing and growing, there are people about in the late afternoon and evening too most days.
