Soundtracks are a mixed bag aren't they? One usually gets a blend of the good and bad, but in the case of the "The Sounds of Summer Bay", it is music of the highest quality.

Song 1: "Home & Away Theme"     As we begin our musical journey of Summer Bay, the show's theme tune introduces us to the CD.

Song 2: "Apple Eyes" by Swoop     A fun, funky dance track which has a great beat and rhythm with some outstanding vocals and clever lyrics. I love it. When we heard it... When Swoop held a concert in Summer Bay, in 1996 often heard in the Diner

Song 3: "Party" by Christine Anu     A dance track with some very subtle ethnic influences. It's a perfect track with a very appropriate name. When we heard it... When Shannon and Selina went out together background music in the Diner

Song 4: "Waking Up Tired" by Hoodoo Gurus     Rock 'n' Roll Australian style. Great song with a good beat and rhythm. When we heard it... Background music in the Diner Selina's party

Song 5: "Throw your arms around me" by Hunters & Collectors     A classic romantic rock ballad. This song is brilliant. The scenes that it was played over benefitted wonderfully from the poignant lyrics and great sound. When we heard it... Shane's death scene Angel's departure in Episode 2000

Song 6: "A Girl Like You" by Edwyn Collins     A nice song, but gets very repititive after a few hearings. Very interesting lyrics. When we heard it... Background music in the Diner

Song 7: "Imagination" by Deni Hines     A great pop soul ballad which manages to be both sorrowful and hopeful. When we heard it... ?? Unknown

Song 8: "Dangerous Game" by Kylie Minogue     Oh, wow. This is Kylie Minogue at her best. This song is great: poignant, sad and serious - it is one of the CD's best songs. When we heard it... Shane's ashes scattered.

Song 9: "Sexuality" by Past to Present     A nice, slow soul ballad. When we heard it... ?? Unknown

Song 10: "Wrap Me Up" by Alex Party     Party on ! A lively dance track which is perfectly placed on the CD after 4 emotional ballads. When we heard it... ?? Unknown

Song 11: "Movin' Up" by Dreamworld     A funky, lively dance track with a wicked beat and rhythm. When we heard it... When Marilyn, Jesse and Selina were getting ready to go out.

Song 12: "Tingly" by Pop! Featuring Angie Hart     A very nice song which has sould, funk and very subtle opera influences. Lovely ! When we heard it... Tim helped Sally pick up her notes when they blew away.

Song 13: "Change" by Kate Ceberano     A political message contained within a fabulous song. When we heard it... ?? Unknown

Song 14:"We've Started A Fire" by Vika & Linda     An emotional ballad with some folk and funk influences. It's brilliant. When we heard it... ?? Unknown

Song 15: "Slave" by The Badloves     A rock song with a great beat. When we heard it... ?? Unknown

Song 16:"I Can't Stand the Rain" by Wilson Diesel     A classic soul song. When we heard it... ?? Unknown

Song 17: "There is a Garden"by Archie Roach     A superb poignant song with a wonderful slow beat which makes it all the more depressing. When we heard it... As news of Shane's death spread through the Bay .

Song 18:"Walk This World" by Heather Nova     After such an emotional song, this song is refreshingly positive. It has a life-affirming beat and tempo. When we heard it... ?? Unknown

Song 19: "Home & Away Theme Tune"     And so our musical tour of Home & Away ends and the strains of the theme tune bid us farewell
