SUMMARY: Ricky and the Mertzes are fed up with Lucy fibbing constantly. They bet her 100$ that she couldn't go one day without telling a lie. Lucy, thinking that this is an easy way to earn some extra money, accepts the challenge before realizing that she has to attend a bridge game the next day. She says that she can't be around 3 women and tell the truth. The next day, she goes to Carolyn Appleby's house to attend the bridge game. Carolyn has redecorated her house in Chinese Modern and she asks Lucy what she thinks of it. Lucy tells her that it looks like "a bad dream you'd have after eating too much Chinese food." Marion Strong comes in with a new hat, and Lucy tells her that it is "the most silliest hat she has ever seen." The 3 women want to seek revenge so they ask Lucy three questions: "How old are you?" "How much do you weigh?" "What color would your hair be if you didn't dye it?" Lucy answers them: 33, 129, and mousy brown. When they get home, Ricky and Fred expect that the bet is over. But, Ethel informs them that the bet is still on. Then Lucy tells Fred that he is a tightwad, and that if he opened his wallet more, Ethel wouldn't have to go around town looking so tacky. She also tells Ricky that he is a coward, because he is afraid that Lucy will steal the spotlight from him if she is given a chance in showbiz. To prove her wrong, Ricky takes her to a TV audition because he knows that she won't get a chance because she has no experience. Lucy lists her talents as singer, dancer, comedienne, monologist, mistress of ceremonies, after-dinner speaker, saxophonist, star, bit player and extra. When asked about experience, Lucy says that she finished an 11-year run at Ricardos. She also appeared in 3-D, but, not three-dimensional, that is the letter on their apartment. She gets the job as an assistant to Professor Falconi, a knife thrower, by lying and saying she knows how to speak Italian. She is scared to death because she thinks he is actually throwing knives at her. But at the end, before she fibbed about knowing Italian, her 24 hours were up, and she had managed to tell the truth, and the Ricky and the Mertzes pay her.
