Well, here is my first posting on the fan fict ml. I hope you enjoy.
Disclaimer: Ah.. Well.. I was going to say something intellectual about how
my morals wouldn't allow me to miss use any of HB's characters ect. but I
decided that it would be better if I just didn't bore you with that speech.

Some One Inbetween

Part 1
Jessie rolled down her car window letting the wond tousle her firery
red hair. She smiled as her favorite song came on the radio. he started to
sing along.
"Tell me what you want. Tell me what you need....." Jessie started to
sing as she turned the corner to the Woods End subdivision.
*Today is the day....* Jessie thought to herself... *Today is the day
that I tell Jonny how I feel.* She had thought about telling him for the
longest time and she had put it off until now. It had been 6 years since she
had meet Jonny. She could still remeber the look on his face when she had
restled him to the ground during school.
She would love to tell him that she had liked him since the first day
she had met him but that would be a lie. She addmitted that she did hate him
for awhile and was always annoyed with him 99.9% of the time. But after awhile
he grew on her. His teasing was taken a different way insted of an insult.
their constant fights were taken as their own special way of fliting.
She hadn't acted upon it though. She was afraid that he would tell her
that he didn't feel the same way. That their friendship wouldn't be the same
after they broke up. That it wouldn't work out. But now. After going to
college for one year she realized how much he meant to her. She couldn't laugh
with her friends like she could laugh with him.
Jessie finally drove up to his driveway and turned off the car. She had
parked behind a red eclipse. *Jonny got a new car?* she wondred. He had
visited her at college three weeks before and gave her this address. She hope
it was the right one. Jessie got of the car, straightened her clothes, and
walked to the door. She let out a huge sigh and rang the door bell. Within a
few seconds Jonny's smiling face was at the door.
"Hey Jess!" Jonny said with surprise holding his arms out for him to
hug her. Jessie went into his arms and gave him a hug.
"Hey Jonny. What's up?"
"Nothing much. You?"
"Same here. Come in," he said gesturing with his hand for her to come
inside.
"O.k." Jessie put her coat on the caotrack and went inside. Jonny led
her into the kitchen. "Jonny. There's something I need to tell you."
"What?" Jonny asked while rumaging around the frigerator.
She took a deep breath and started. "Jonny... I think there is
something you should know... Something I haven't told me."
"What is it?" Jonny asked while placing bread and some meat onto the
counter.
"Jonny.. I like you.... as more than a friend.... For.. for awhile
now...." Jeesie stopped to look at Jonny's face. His face was blank. She
contiued. "And I was wondering if we could.. If we could......"
Jessie was cut off by a voince calling out. "Jonny? Jonny, you have to
come see this m......." A tall woman was standing in the doorway to the
kitchen. She had black hair and brown eyes. Her hair was tied into a messy bun
and loose locks of hair cascaded down her face, framing it. She had a brown
skirt on with a white shoes. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know we had company."
Jessie looked at her, then to Jonny, then back to her. Silence filled
the room. After what seemed like hours Jonny uncomfortably cleared his throat
and spoke.
"Jessie, I would like you to meet Heather my......" he stopped and didn't
say anything.
*His aunt! His cousin! His long lost sister! Please don't let it be
his.....* Jessie screamed in her mind.
"My girlfriend...." Jonny continued.. He kept his eyes to the floor and
was carefull not to look at Jessie.
Jessie felt like her heart was ripped in half. She stood up and went over
to the woman.
"Hello," Jessie said quietly, "I'm Jessie... Jonny's..... friend....."
Heather politely shook her hand, "It's nice to meet you."
"I think I'll be going now," Jessie said heading for the door from the
kitchen. When she was out she ran to the front door.
"Jessie wait!" Jonny called out running after her. She was already out the
door and running to her car when he reached the front door. He ran to the car
and got to it before she had closed her door. "Jessie.. I can explain."
His heart broke when he saw her face tears were streaming down her face
and her eyes were red. "I ....didn't..... know.... I didn't know.... I can
explain."
The only responce he got was the slam of her car door and the roar of
her enigine. She backed out of his driveway and headed down the street. He ran
after her car and realized that he couldn't catch up.
