     "Jonny....look...," Jessie begin. "I'm sorry about how all of this turned
out.  I'm sorry for embarrassing you infront of your ..... infront of your
girlfriend.... and I..."

     Jonny cut her off.  "You don't have to be sorry.  I'm the one who should
be sorry.  I should have told you about Heather earlier."

     "Why didn't you?" Jessie asked quietly.

      "I don't... I don't know...." Jonny lied. He perfectly knew why. He just
didn't want to tell Jessie.... but after looking at her face, he broke down.
"Jessie... the reason why I didn't tell you is because... I didn't know how
you would take it."

     "How I would take it? You mean you already knew?"

     "Yes... no.... I don't know. The truth is that I like you too.  Even as
more than a friend. I was afraid that our friendship would be over."

      "You know our friendship wouldn't end about something like that.. No
matter how I...we... feel."

      "I wish that this would had happened before. Let's say one or two years
ago."

       "You're right... It would have been easier."

        A slow grin spread across Jonny's face.  Jessie saw his face and a
smile appeared at her face too.

      "I can't believe this happened."

      "Neither can I. I can remeber dreaming of the day that I would tell you
how I feel.  It was going to be perfect.  I guess it didn't turn out that
way."

     "It didn't. But you know what?"

      "What?"

      Jessie smiled. "It's good that we at least know.  Better than not
knowing for the rest of our lives."

     "You know what. You're right. I've always wondered if you liked me or
not. Now I at least know." He put out his hand for Jessie to shake. "Friends?"
he asked.

      Jessie took his hand and shook it. "Friends."

Well. I hope you liked it.  This is kinda different from th type of stories I
