sent it off, but I found it in my Draft folder today, so
apparantly I didn't so here it is! Enjoy!
When Two Become One

Note: If you don't like the Spice Girls, I suggest that
you stop right here because they are an intrical part of
this story, and I can't leave them out! Sorry! I do ask
you to put that beside, though, and read the story! I
think you'll like it! Oh, and if you don't like sappy
romantic stories with no kissing or anything like that,
stop here because the furthest this story goes is hugging!
Categories: HR, J+J (even though some would suggest horror
because of the Spice Girls)

::thinks about the Quest Team singing:: Hmmm......that
would be funny!)
"So, what do you think?" Jessie said as she held up a
shirt and skirt for her friend Angela to see.
"It's fantastic, just like the last five outfits."
Angela said.
Jessie put down the pink skirt and black skirt and
said, "It's just that it's my first date since going out
with Jonny, and I want it to be perfect."
"Look, I know it's hard, but you've got to get over
Jonny. He decided that he wanted to break up." Angela said.
"But,.....I didn't." Jessie said plopping down on the
bed where Angela was sitting.
"I know, I know." Angela said, giving her friend a
hug, "But, life goes on. If you two are meant to be, it
will be."
"Thanks." Jessie said.
"Well, I'll go and let you get ready. Call me when
you get back!" Angela said, leaving the room.
"Bye." Jessie said.
Jessie forced herself up, and got dressed. She
started to comb her hair, and thought about Jonny. She had
loved going to the movies with him because they would
always joke around, and it would be so much fun. The only
reason she was going out with Paul tonight was because
Angela had forced her to. Angela was trying to be her
friend, and help Jessie get over Jonny, but she didn't
realize that Jessie didn't want to get over Jonny.
Jessie snapped back to reality as her dad Race
stepped into the room.
"Is this a bad time?" Race asked his daughter as he
stepped in the room.
"No, no. Come in Dad." Jessie said putting down her
hairbrush.
"I just wanted to come see how you were doing. I know
that....." Race said.
"I'm fine. I know...first date since Jonny." Jessie
said, "It's ok, really!"
Jessie felt bad, knowing that those last words out of
her mouth were lies.
"All right. You know the rules, be back by 10." Race
said, "And have fun!"
"Thanks!" Jessie said as she kissed her dad on the
cheek.
Race left the room, and Jessie went back to getting
ready.
Meanwhile, Jonny and Hadji were sitting in Jonny's
room.
"I can't believe she's going out with someone else!"
Jonny said.
"My friend, you knew it would happen." Hadji said.
"I know," Jonny said as he sat down the C.D. he was
holding, "But, it's just that....."
"Remember, you broke up with her." Hadji said.
"I know...." Jonny said.
"If you still like her, why did you break up?" Hadji
asked, picking up a Backstreet Boys C.D.
"Well......I don't know! I just did!" Jonny said, "It
just seemed right!"
"Well, maybe Jessie's wondering the same thing. If
you can figure out the problem, talk to her, and come up
with the solution, maybe there's still hope." Hadji said.
"I'd love to talk to her tonight, but there's no way
I can get tickets to the Spice Girls concert they're going
to!" Jonny said.
"Good thing I pulled a few strings!" Race said as he
stepped into the room, "Sorry for eavesdropping, but I've
seen you and my ponchita together enough to know that you
two really love each other. You'd better figure out what
you want soon, kid. Or else, Jessie's heart will belong to
someone else before you can say hot jambalaya!"
"Thanks Race!" Jonny said, grabbing the tickets and
his jacket, and running out of the room.
Meanwhile, Jessie had gotten into Paul's car.
"Hey Paul!" Jessie said as she got in the car.
"Hey!" Paul said.
Paul drove the car out onto the street.
"So, are you excited?" Paul asked.
"Sure am! I love the Spice Girls!" Jessie said.
"I think we'll have a great time." Paul said.
An uneasy silence filled the car as they drove on.
"So....what do you like to do after school?" Paul said.
"Just hang out at The Spot." Jessie said.
The Spot was a cool pizza place in the local mall
where all the teens hung out at.
"Cool." Paul said, "Me too. You'll have to come and
sit with me and the guys sometime."
"Sounds like fun!" Jessie said, lying because she
knew she had nothing in common with Paul and his friends,
who were all football players.
Jessie and Paul drove the rest of the way not talking.
Later on, Jonny parked his car in the parking lot for
the concert. Jonny got out, locked the door, and went to
find Jessie. ::All right:: thought Jonny ::She's sitting
on Row 7 Seat 12:: Jonny walked into the auditorium, and
found Row 7. ::Good old Race! I'm sitting in Row 7 Seat
13:: thought Jonny. Jonny found his seat, and found Jessie.
"Jonny?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" Jessie said, shocked to see
him there.
"Hi Jess!" Jonny said, "I need to talk to you about
something."
Just then, the Spice Girls stepped onto the stage,
and everyone started screaming, so Jessie didn't hear Jonny.
"WHAT???????" Jessie screamed as the group started to
play.
"I NEED TO TALK TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!" Jonny screamed.
"WHAT????????" Jessie said, as both of their voices
got drowned out by the screaming around them, and the band
on the stage.
Finally, Jonny gave up. ::I guess it's not meant to
be:: thought Jessie.
The Spice Girls finished their first song, and
Melanie B. stepped up and said, "There's a special couple
out there in the crowd who this song is dedicated to.
Jonny Quest and Jessie Bannon, this is for you!"
Jonny and Jessie's eyes got wider than they ever
thought they would. The spotlight shone right on them as
the Spice Girls started singing their hit song 2 Become 1.
Jonny and Jessie stood up, and Jessie grabbed Jonny's hand.
"HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Paul said.
They ignored Paul and enjoyed the rest of the
concert. After the concert, someone escorted Jonny and
Jessie backstage, and they found the Spice Girls standing
around with Race.
"You set this up?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" Jonny and Jessie
said in unison.
"Yep!" Race said, "I, with some help, got the magic
started. Now, you two have to keep it going."
Jonny and Jessie sat talking with the Spice Girls for
a while, then left.
"Jonny?" Jessie said as Jonny drove them home.
"Yeah, Jess?" Jonny said.
"Why did you break up with me if you still liked me?"
Jessie asked.
"Who said I still liked you?" Jonny said.
"Oh..." Jessie said, feeling like she was about to cry.
"I loved....love you." Jonny said, "That's the
problem. I've never felt like this about anyone before! It
scared me."
"I know." Jessie said, "It kind of scares me too! I
mean, what if it doesn't work. Then, we'd hurt more than
people who just liked each other going out."
"Yeah, it'd be like an atomic bomb instead of a
grenade setting off in my heart." Jonny said.
"Yeah." Jessie said.
"Yeah." Jonny said.
Jonny pulled the car over into a gas station.
"If we do become this serious about our relationship,
we may not be able to go back if it doesn't work." Jonny
said.
"But, what if it does work?" Jessie said.
An uneasy silence filled the car.
"Then, I guess we'd get married, have 2.5 children,
and move to a suburb with our little dog Toto." Jonny said.
"There's no way I'd name my dog Toto!" Jessie said,
"Or have .5 of anything!"
They both laughed, then Jonny grabbed Jessie and
hugged her.
"I love you." Jonny whispered into her ear.
"I love you too." Jessie whispered into his ear.
As they sat there, love radiated off of them, and the
two lone souls became one pair of souls.
So, what did you think? I hope everyone liked it! See, the
Spice Girls were only in there for a little bit! Well, I'd
