Even more apologies, but I hear that the JQFFML is not reliable, and so I

Jessica smiled and touseled the hair of the little girl's head. The girl
stared up at her, big brown eyes sad. Jessica sighed inwardly. The girl
had lost everything, and on top of that had lost an arm. Why did wars
exsist anyways?
"You'll be okay, Sanya, you'll be okay." she said, trying to
reassure the young child.
"Mama... Mama's not coming back, is she?" Sanya asked. Jessica
shook her head.
"No, she's not. You've got to be a big girl and take care of your
little brother." she replied. It wasn't fair, it just wasn't fair. This
girl, would grow up without her parents, her brother wasn't even going to
make it, Jessica was sure of that. She smiled breifly at Sanya.
"I-" Sanya was cut off, as a nurse entered the room.
"Dr. Bannon? We have an emergancy-"
"Is it the older boy?" Jessica asked. The nurse nodded. Jessica
rushed out of the room, saying nothing to Sanya. The nurse gave the girl
a candy.
"Don't worry, she's just got things to do." the nurse said. Sanya
said nothing, tears coming to her eyes. The nurse smiled tightly, and
walked out of the room, shutting the door behind her.

Jessica groaned and flopped down on the couch. She rotated her neck,
feeling the muscles complain. She smiled as she looked down at the amount
of patients she had seen today. She frowned slightly as she rememberd the
emergancy. If that boy hadn't been so stupid, she could have gotten a lot
more done. Someone knocked on her door.
"Dr. Bannon, some one is here to see you." said the nurse.
Jessica sighed.
"Fine, fine, tell them to come in." she muttered.
	"Jess?" asked a familiar voice.
"Jonny?" she asked, and turned around. He was the same except he
was older looking, taller, more handsome, and he lost the boyishnis he
had possessed when he was 14. He smiled his infamous lopsided grin at
her, and she ran to him, hugging him tightly.
"My god, it's been a long time Jess. Or should I say, Dr. Jessica
Bannon, most productive surgical doctor to help in this war." he said.
She laughed.
"Oh well, Jessica is fine. You've grown up so much Jonathon!" she
exclaimed as they parted. He flushed.
"Just call me Jonny, thanks. Eh, well. I did get my PHD 6 months
ago." he said, still bright red. She hugged him.
"That's great! You've come to help me?" she asked. He nodded. He
yawned.
"Is there a place I could collapse for awhile?" he asked.
"Sorry, I forgot about the time difference. Of course, just take
the guest room, just make sure to read the little warning about what to
do in a bombing." she said, and pushed him towards the door. He nodded,
and yawned again. She laughed, and opened the door for him, helping him
bring his second bag in.
"Will do, Doctor. Goodnight, tommorrow we talk about what has
happened since we last saw each other, kay?" he asked. She nodded.
"Goodnight, Jonath... Jonny." she said, and left, shutting the
door. He smiled slightly, and flopped down on the bed, falling asleep
right away.

Alarms blared as Jessica heard the planes fly over head. She ran for the
door. An bomb exploded near the small hospital. She tumbled to the
ground, hitting her head, as the explosion rocked the building. Glass
near her shattered as shrapnel was flung through the window. She cried
out as the hot metal hit her arm, burning it's pattern into her skin. A
body covered hers, as another explosion shook the ground. The world
melted, and dripped, as the explosions came again and again, a giant
pounding against the earth with his fist. It seemed like hours later that
the bombing stopped, and she was able to calm her heart. She pushed aside
the person on top of her. Jonathon moaned in pain.
"Jonny... oh god..." she whispered, as she spotted a shard of
glass slicing into his back, the red tinge of blood that was a dark brown
in the light spilled onto the carpet.
"no no... it doesn't hurt... th.. that bad..." he gasped. She
narrowed her eyes.
"Don't be an idiot. Don't move until I'm back, you hear?" she
asked, glaring at him.
"do... I... lo... look like I'm... going... anywhere?" he wheezed
feebly. She shook her head and ran out the door. Choas met her. Children
were crying everywhere, no injuries besides the ones that had already
been. Bitter tears came to her eyes, but she wiped them away quickly..

Jonathon opened his eyes, and gritted his teeth as he felt pain shoot
through his back.
"Oh god, it feels like someone rammed a steel spike through me."
he muttered. Someone laughed.
"Up already? You've only been out for three days." Jessica
grinned. He glared at her.
"I'd been here for five hours, and I'm already an invalid." he
grumbled. "Were there any hurt?" he asked. Her face sobered.
"We lost the little boy." she said. Confusion crossed his face.
	"Which one?"
"Oh... Sanya's little brother." she replied.
"Ah....ummm... how long till I can get up an around?" he asked.
"You baby... you didn't even go into muscle. It's just a skin
deep cut, you have bruises." she said. "You got me all worried for
nothing." she said. He sighed. A thought raced through his mind, but
before he could grasp it, it faded into nothingness. They locked eyes,
his narrowing, hers clouding with tears.
"Jess, what's happened to you?" he asked.
"Nothing, Don't call me that." she mumbled. He sat up, feeling
his back complain.
"What happend? You've changed. You don't know that names of your
patients, you don't talk to them, you don't care what happens, as long as
it's less work for you. You don't care anymore." he said. She stared at
him.
"I do care." she replied, her voice dangerously soft. "I do care!
IT'S THE WORLD THAT DOESN'T CARE JONATHON! IT'S THE BASTARDS OUT THERE
WITH GUNS WHO DON'T CARE! IT'S THOSE BASTARDS, THOSE BASTARDS THAT PLAY
GOD WHO DON'T CARE!!! WHO ARE YOU TO COME IN HERE AND TELL ME I DON'T
CARE, WHO ARE YOU, JONATHON? WHO ARE YOU, DAMNIT!?" she screamed. She
sank to her knees, the tears falling freely. He crawled out of bed, and
sat down next to her, holding her close. SHe lashed out at him, striking
him away. "I don't need you comforting." she said. She looked up at him,
eyes tinged red, maybe with tears, maybe with madness. "I don't need you
here. Go home. You don't know what it's like, you don't know how to
handle it when your walking down the street, and people get shot next to
you. You shouldn't have to learn. No one should. War is a desease, and it
doesn't care who's blood it feeds upon." she said quietly. He sighed.
"I'm staying, no matter what you say." he said.
"I'm sorry for yelling." she apologized. He shook his head.
"It's not your fault." he took her hand in his. "It's not your
fault."
