Subject: [JQ] Fic: JQ/DBZ X-over, prologue/?

	Hehe, Hey 'Lex, remember a looooong time ago when I asked
permission to do this?  Well, I finally got around to it. =)
	Okay, I know not many of you have much knowledge of Dragon Ball
Z, but I'm still going to try and pull this off. Hopefully I'll succeed,
but _PLEASE,_ if at any time I become confusing or boring, let me know! 
I have a tendency to over-explain things, but if I under-explain them
people could get totally lost.
	Please, please comment on this, though.  I'm really going to need
feedback on this, otherwise I may not finish.  Anyway, without further
ado, on with the fic!

casefiles.  DBZ time line-wise, shortly before the Buu saga.

The First Ever JQ/DBZ X-over

	"Kids," said Dr. Benton Quest over his morning cup of coffee,
"how would you feel about having some guests at the compound?"  
	The Quest Team was assembled for their morning breakfast ritual. 
Claudette was eating a bowl of cereal while Jonny and Mishelle were
arguing over who got the coffee next.  Hadji and Tai-Lee had just settled
down with a bagel each, and Jessie was cooking up a mountain of eggs and
bacon for herself and the Crenshaw twins.  Everyone quieted down at Dr.
Quest's question.
	Jonny spoke up.  "I don't know, pop.  With Race and Estella back
now it would be a little crowded."
	"As if it isn't already," Mishelle snorted under her breath.
	"I understand, Jonny, but the compound is large enough, and it's
as a favor to a friend," Dr. Quest replied.
	"Perhaps you should tell us all the details before we decide, Dr.
Quest," spoke Hadji.
	"An excellent suggestions, Hadji.  You see kids, Bulma, a friend
and colleague of mine, is going on vacation with her friend, Chichi, for
a few weeks.  She asked if we could help watch her son and Chichi's two
boys while their away."
	"Well," said Jessie, who had the most babysitting experience,
"how old are these boys?"
	"Bulma's son, Trunks, is 8, and Chichi's sons, Gohan and Goten
are 17 and 7, respectively."
	"Hmm..." Jessie started mumbling to herself, " 8, 17, and 7...
that doesn't sound too ba... Wait a second, 17!?  A 17 year old needs
babysitting?"
	Dr. Quest laughed.  "I know it seems unorthodox, but I assure you
there's nothing wrong with him.  It's just that with only one person to
watch them, the two younger boys can be a handful.  At least, that's the
official reason.  Truth to tell, I think Bulma's just trying to keep an
eye on me.  She's been awfully worried since this unknown assassin
started taking potshots."
	"Hold on, Dr. Quest," piped up Travis, "what does she think three
more kids can do to help out?"
	"You don't know Trunks, Goten, and Gohan," was all he would say.
	After a few minutes of uncomfortable silence Tai-Lee spoke up. 
"Well Dr. Quest, I cannot speak for all of us, but I think it would be
wonderful to have them here."  The rest of the crowd quickly nodded their
assent.
	"Great!" exclaimed Benton.  "I'll call now.  Hopefully they'll
arrive later this morning.  Knowing Bulma's anxiousness they should be
already packed."

End prologue

	So, what'd you guys think?  As I said, I _really_ need some
feedback on this, so any comments, suggestions, flames, and cute, white
bunnies with sharp, pointy teeth will be welcomed with open arms (well,
maybe not the bunnies).
