Hey everyone! ::waves:: I've been going through a lot of mixed emotions and
feelings (boy, that's the part of being a teenager I hate!), and I've been
trying to write a new story when I connected the two and made a new story out
of what I've been feeling. I hope you like it! If it sounds dumb, please
forgive me because I didn't get as much sleep as I usually do and I was kinda
tired when I wrote this! Well, anyway, without further ado, enjoy!

Last Out
By: Jerry Landry
::Look at them:: thought Jonny, ::Jessie and Hadji make the perfect
couple while I can't even get up the nerve to ask a girl out.::
Jonny was sitting in the shade of a tree on an early October morning
watching his two best friends, Jessie Bannon and Hadji Singh, laughing,
talking, hugging, kissing, in the field that was on the west end of Rockport
High School, where everyone hung out. Jessie and Hadji had just admitted their
feelings for each other, and had been going out for a week now. Jonny was
amazed that they were already at the kissing stage. He would never get to that
stage that fast. It was ironic, after what Hadji had told Jonny a few months
ago.
Flashback to August...
Jonny and Hadji were sitting in Jonny's room, playing a computer game and
talking.
"You know, I think I'm going to ask Alison out." Jonny said.
"I thought you were going to ask her out last week." Hadji said.
"Well, I was, but....it's kinda weird. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that
kind of a relationship." Jonny said.
"Well, you're closer to getting a girlfriend than I am." Hadji said.
"What do you mean?" Jonny said.
"I think Alison would go out with you if you would just ask her out, but
me.....no one would go out with me." Hadji said.
"Why wouldn't they?" Jonny said, "Hadj, the girls love you! If you'd give
them a chance, they'd gladly go out with you!"
"Who? The weird girl with the bashful blue hair? The freshman girl? The
girl who already has five boyfriends already?" Hadji said.
"Hadji, give it a chance!" Jonny said, "You'll find someone soon enough!"
The only thing was that Jonny didn't know that soon enough would come
faster than he thought.
Fast forward to September....
"Yes, Jonny. I think you're cute, but I wouldn't go out with you!" Jessie
said as she and Jonny waited in the hall after 2nd hour at school, "But Alison
would! Go for it!"
"I know, I know. It's just that.....I don't know!" Jonny said, "I just
can't bring myself to ask her out!"
"Because you're a big chicken!" Jessie said, "Ask her out!!!!!"
"I think it's our friendship that's making it so that I can't ask her
out. And hey, I don't see you going out with anyone!" Jonny said.
"You just had to bring that up!" Jessie said, "But that's different!
There isn't anyone I like! You like someone!"
But, Jessie would find someone she liked soon enough.
Fast forward to 2 weeks before the beginning of the story....
Jonny, Jessie, and Hadji were sitting in Jonny's room, playing games.
Jessie and Hadji were sitting on the bed, and Jonny was on the floor by the
bed. Everything was normal until....Hadji touched Jessie's leg.
Jessie looked at Hadji, Hadji looked at Jessie, and it started.
Later on, after Hadji had went to his room...
"Jonny," Jessie said, "Did you see Hadji touch my leg?"
"Yeah." Jonny said.
"Well, I got to thinking, and.....I think I may like Hadji." Jessie said.
An uneasy silence filled the room.
"Wow." Jonny said, "I'm......I'm speechless! Wow! I thought..."
"I had said we would never go out. Well....." Jessie said.
"So this is what never is like!" Jonny said, "So, what are you going to
do about it?"
"I don't know." Jessie said, "I've never been in this kind of situation."
"Talk to him." Jonny said.
The next day, Jonny had the same conversation with Hadji, and Hadji said
that he liked Jessie. But, for a week, neither one of them did anything.
Finally, Jessie gave Hadji a letter, telling him how she felt, and they
decided to go out. After that, it was one awkward moment after another for
Jonny. He felt like a third wheel around them when they were hugging and
kissing. He didn't want to say anything because he didn't want to hurt their
feelings. Also, he was jealous of what they had. Every day, they would come up
to him, and tell them about the romantic thing the other had done. He loved
that they were going out, and was happy for them, but....he wanted that
too....that and more.
Back to the present....
Jonny sat looking at Jessie and Hadji when Alison walked over.
"Hey Jonny!" Alison said, sitting down beside him.
"Hey!" Jonny said cheering up a little bit.
"What's up?" Alison said, "You said you wanted to talk."
"Yeah..." Jonny said, "Look, I've got to tell you something. I like you.
I like you a lot. You're funny, smart, creative, pretty, and more! I'd love to
go out with you but...."
"But?" Alison said.
"But, you see my two friends over there?" Jonny said pointing to Jessie
and Hadji.
"Yeah. What about them?" Alison said.
"They just started going out, and I'm kinda jealous of them. They are the
perfect couple and I want that. And, I want to be sure that I'm not just
asking you out just because of that." Jonny said.
"How long have you liked me?" Alison said.
"A little bit of last school year. But, I stopped liking you for a while,
and I started to again this school year." Jonny said.
"Seesh! And you waited until now to ask me out?!?!?!?!?" Alison said
shocked.
"Well, I'm kinda shy." Jonny said laughing that he had been that shy.
"If you've liked me that long, I don't think it has anything to do with
them." Alison said.
"I guess you're right." Jonny said.
"Jonny, you have nothing to be jealous of!" Alison said, "You're a great
person! How do you know they're not jealous of you?"
They sat in silence.
"C'mon!" Jonny said getting up, "Let's go see if we can be such a cute
couple that we make people want to throw up!"
"I think we can do it!" Alison said getting up, "My friend Diane will be
the perfect first victim!"
So, Jonny and Alison went to find Diane and begin a great relationship
with a bang!
