Well, I was slightly bored so I decided to dish out a little fict. Hope you

You Never Know Until You Try

Jessie looked herself over in the mirror. She had been waiting for this day
for about 2 years now. When it first hit her that mabey, in her heart, she
like Jonny as more than a friend. She had been reluctant to admit it at
first; how could she possibly like the annoying blond guy who lived with her.
The one that she constantly fought with and had so many competitions with?
But it was that one day that she realize there possibly could be more than
the whole brother-sister relationship.
Jessie had chose her black boots, skirt and brown and black ribbed shirt.
she carefully applied her lipstick and added some blush. She replayed the
sceen two days ago:
"Hey Jess," Jonny said like the regular after-school converstations
started.
"Hey Jonny. Did you get that killer pop quiz from Mr.Morozac" Jessie
asked while stuffing a whole pile of books intp her locker.
"Nope. Instead I got one of Mrs. Lozano's 3 page Spanish Papers," his
eyes became downcast when he remebered the asignment.
"You know, if you need any help I could help you," Jessie proposed
with a smile.
"Thanks Jess," Jonny replied with one of those slow appearing smile.
After a few moments of silence and lookin down at their shoes Jonny
finally started the conversation back up again.
"You know Jess....." Jonny started off and then decided against it.
"I know what?" Jessie asked with curiousity.
"You know that.. Well.... What are you doing Friday night?"
"Well, I was planning to go with some of my girlfriends to the mall
or something."
"Oh.. o.k. then..."Jonny trailed off again.
"Why, what happened?"
"No nevermind."
"Were you planning on something?"
"Well....."
"Tell me Quest."
"I was wondering if you wanted to go with me to get a bit to eat and
go to the movies or something," Jonny blurted out.
Jessie fell silent. She thought over what he had just said.
"LIke a date?" she asked quietly.
"Mabey..."Jonny started," But since you have plans forget about it."
"Um.. I'll se if I can get out of going to the annual Mall crawling with the
girls. I'll answer you tommor o.k.?"
"Sure," Jonny said brightening.
"O.k." Jesiie said and they headed home.

Jonny was sitting on his bed listening to music. He wasn't reall paying
attention to it becasue he was debatting how the date should go. He stood up
infront of the mirror.
"Hi Jess," he said with a smile. *Oh yeah, act like everyday.*
"Hello Jessica," he tried with a straight face *No, I don't think so, I'm
not 30.*
"Yo Jess. Looking good," he said with a smirk. *Oh yeah, and get a slap
across the face*
"Hey jessie," Jonny said with a grin. *No, can't do that. Seems like I'm
just noticing she's in the room or something.*
He flopped on his back onto the bed. *Why is it so hard to decided how to
say Hi to her* Jonny realized that it hadn't been this difficult when they
usually went out but this time it was different. He did know what had caused
him to ask her on a date. He just did it. He didn't plan it or anything he
just blurted it out. And yet, it seemed right. Mabey because he felt in his
heart that somewhere deep Jessie meant more to him than any friend would.
when he hugged her now he felt different towards her, like something more was
in those hugs than there were before. He really couldn't explain it.
After he finally figured out that a simple hi would suffice he headed off
to Jessie's room. He was about to knock on the door when it swung open.
"Hi Jessie," Jonny tried say but it came out in a high pitched squeek. *she
is so pretty.*
"Hey Jonny," Jessie said coolly ,"Ready to go?"
"Uh huh..," Jonny said still at a loss for words.
"Let's go then," Jessie took the stairs down and headed for the door. On
the way there Jonny finally got his mind back.

Author's note: I decided not to bore you with the details of the date. That
would take many pages. Ah well, and now back to our pogram.

It was bout 11:00 o'cock when the two finally got home. You could here the
two's constant laughing as they walked up the walkway. Both had radiant
smiles on their faces and were still talking when they reached the door.
"Well, I guess this is goodnight." Jonny said when they stopped walking.
"Yeah, I guess so.." Jessie replied.
"I had a good time."
"Me too,"
Silence came between the two of them.
"Well," Jonny said breaking the silence, "Goodnight" he quickly gave her
a peck on the cheek. After they just stood there wondering what to do next.
Jonny satrted to put the keys in the door and was about to turn the handle.
"Jonny," Jessie said stopping him.
"Yeah," Jonny turned around to look at her.
"I hope you don't hold this against me but....."
Jonny's heart began to sink *but I don't think of you as more as a friend.
You're like my brother. How could I ever like a guy like you.*
"But what?" He asked looking at the floor.
"I have to do this."
Jonny waited for the blow and closed his eyes to prepare himself so she
couldn't see he was hurt. Instead he felt a light pressure on his lips.He
opened his eyes in amazamement then they fluttered closed agian. He went out
of the kiss and looked at Jessie. They looked at eachother.
"Uh.. I better go inside," Jessie said breaking the tension.
"Yeah, me too," Jonny said still not knowing fully what had just happened.
"Uh huh," Jessie said. they looked at eachother once more. Finally, Jonny
opened the door and walked inside. Jessie followed.Jonny went to his room and
Jessie went straight to the living room and plopped herself onto the sofa.
