Stephanie Hobart came to Llanview in 1991. She was the neice of Carlo Hesser(through Carlo's adoptive family.) She didn't like him at all though. Carlo hated all the Buchanans and when Stephanie started dating Kevin Buchanan, Carlo started making the relationship more complicated. Kevin left her, and started dating Lee Ann Demerest.

A few months later, Stephanie found out that Carlo had killed her dad, Joseph Hobart. He was an FBI informant. In a fit of rage Stephanie, "killed" Carlo, she didn't know there were blanks in the gun. Not long after that, Carlo came back from the dead. Stephanie went to prison.
