My Experience Meeting Ted Raimi

I heard that Ted Raimi was going to be at the Ritz-Carlton, in St. Louis, for the Creation Hercules & Xena Convention in February.  So, when my friend Marla and I decided to go, I came up with a crazy idea to make a present for him.  I went to Wal-Mart and bought some plain white boxer shorts.  I drew little cartoon pictures of Joxer all over them, and brought them with me to the convention.

Finally, it was my turn to go up and get his  autograph.  When I got up there, he asked me, "How ya doin'?"  I answered, "Great!  I have a gift for you."  He replied, "A gift?  For me?"  I then presented him with THE JOXER SHORTS and he cracked up!

Then, out of the blue, he jumped up on the table where he was signing autographs, and announced them to EVERYBODY!!  He stood up there and said, "I've received some pretty unusual gifts from my fans before, but this takes the cake.  It's a useful gift.  This guy made me some Joxer Shorts!"  All 400+ people started laughing.  It was great.

He continued to stand up there and describe all the pictures to everybody.  I couldn't believe it. He really liked them.

Afterwards, he kind enough to put a special  message on my autographed picture.

"THANKS!!  I LOVE 'EM!!" - Ted Raimi
