TBS Superstation's series The Chimp Channel, set in an all-ape television network, will parody classic television series' on its Thursday, Sept. 16 episode.  Series' to get the monkey treatment are Gilligan's Island, Bewitched, The Partridge Family, The Andy Griffith Show, Charlie's Angels and -- yes -- I Love Lucy.  The chimps will parody the "Job Switching" (candy factory) episode.

The episode is entitled "Stolen Memories: TCC Anniversary Show."  The premise is that someone has stolen the videotape of the TCC Anniversary Special, and TCC President Harry Waller has to air a night of classic TV shows.  "The whole vintage TV idea worked so well, I think we'll keep doing parodies of classic shows in future episodes," said Tim Burns, creator and co-excutive producter of The Chimp Channel. "TCC versions of M*A*S*H or Cheers would definitely be fun, and we could have a great time spoofing The Monkees."
