1654 - the Spaniards accidentally invent bowling. During the annual running of the bulls, one of the bulls' left teste flies off and knocks over 10 nearby bottles.

1908 - Wi Wong Fu Fu, of Korea, falls off of her porch into a puddle of semen, impregnating herself.

1989 - Charles Mundorff, of Orlando, Florida, attempts to eat a world record 25.4 pounds of cheese in one day. The record was owned at the time by Lawson, who ate 25.3 pounds in February of the same year. In his attempt to break the record, Mundorff inadvertently kills himself on the 18th pound when he pukes up his innards.

1993 - John Walters, of Butte, Montana, is fired from his job at McDonald's because he was caught dancing in the cooler with 156 hamburger patties and 1056 french fries down his pants.

1994 - The five year anniversary of Charles Mundorff's unfortunate death is mourned by Lawson, who for the first time since the incident makes another attempt at the record. He eats a world record 28.7 pounds of cheese in one day.
