Comments: In the last week I believe I've gone through most of the Chicano web sites. I am currently enrolled at Texas Tech, and trying finish my B.A. I am a 38 year old mom, wife, and student. I hope to be teaching either Spanish or Math in High School by September. I am taking my last Spanish class, the topic is Literature of the Southwest (a.k.a. Chicano Literature and History). There is so much i formation about our history that I feel I just can't get enough. I hope that in my studing and sharing what I learn with my sons and students, that they too will be filled with pride who they are and the possibilities of who they can become. I want to t ank you for the time you have taken to make all this wonderful information available. I have always believed that education is the key, but knowing and being educated about who you are is even more crucial to maintaining a strong self identy. It's like car, if it is not filled with the correct fuel, it's not going to get very far. I feel we have been denied the beautiful history of our culture and as a group we are not getting very far.
