The Bubblegum Crash takes place a few years after the conclusion of the "Bubblegum Crisis" series.
The Three Bubblegum Crash were created as a follow up to the exceptional Bubblegum Crisis.
The Bubblegum Crash takes place in the year 2034 and focuses more the revenge of Largo(original series)and
does not really deal with the events from the first series, which pitted the company Genom and the Knight
Sabers in a continual power struggle.
Three episodes of this new series fail to live up to the original in many ways. The plot gets kinda boring, because it is nothing new storywise, although the animation improved over the original. The intelligence level of the boomers have been lowered a lot which makes them not very threatening, and the whole mood seems to have lost its effect.
Overall I would not say this is a bad series, but it could have been better,
espically when compaired to the original. The Bubblegum Crash just can not compare
to the original Bubblegum Crisis.
You really won't notice too much though if you have not had the chance to see the original yet.
In order to really say you saw this series you MUST see the original, It's just better!
